Ways of Giving

As an independent African-centered school, Lotus Academy receives no funding from the federal, state, school district, or city governments. The same is true for Ray Wright Music Academy which is also independent, and is privately operated at the Lotus Academy building site at 340 E. Haines Street in Philadelphia.

The moneys that Lotus Academy receives from its parents as tuition payments coupled with the donations it receives from alumni, staff, and other supporters make it possible to maintain the standards of academic excellence that have defined Lotus Academy since 1974. Ray Wright Music Academy charges very modest fees for its instrumental music lessons, and it also helps students obtain their music instruments. It will also need to count on the generosity of its donors to operate its music school at the level of excellence that our children deserve.
